Howard Jacobson is a bestselling fiction author, essayist for UnHerd and Booker Prize winner. His new tragicomic novel Howl follows one man’s unravelling in the aftermath of October 7. Jacobson joins the UnHerd Club to discuss the role of the novel in the contemporary literary moment, since the explosion of cancellation and culture wars over Israel.
