Julius Caesar with Professor David Butterfield

Was Julius Caesar, the original strongman leader, an ancient warning or a blueprint for political success? Latin professor David Butterfield, now Provost of Ralston College and formerly of Cambridge University, joins UnHerd for an exclusive lecture and Q&A. This historical masterclass will be followed by a selection of readings from Shakespeare’s eponymous play by The Base theatre company and a chaired discussion on what the Roman general can teach us about power and control in the 21st century.
